HOW DO AEROPLANES FLY?

                     HOW DO AEROPLANES FLY?

INTRODUCTION

Aeroplanes are huge machines that can fly.

There can be lots of types of aeroplanes.

HOW AEROPLANES FLY

The wings are most important of the aeroplane.Thats the key to making

something fly.Without wings the aeroplane wouldn't be able to fly or balance.

The wings have a curved upper surface and flatter lower surface,

making a cross sectional shape called an airfoil.

PILOTS KNOW WHERE THEY ARE FLYING

How do pilots know where they are flying?Well they look for

geographical features such as landmarks, mountains, and rivers.Or

they can use VOR,DME,LORAN or GPS.As the plane is flying these stations

will stay in the same place allowing the pilots to fly towards them, away from

them or around them.Pilots say that flying isn't that hard. It's just like your

Riding a bike.

WIND CONDITIONS

What happens when the wind changes directions?

Pilots know how to fly in strong winds. They are trained to fly in these

conditions.Pilots are capable of flying in this kind of weather.

All though is can very dangerous in strong crosswinds.

CONCLUSION/SUMMARY

Aeroplanes are a big part of flight.Without them we wouldn't be able

to travel across the world. As you can see aeroplanes are very clever.

The Life Of A Bantam

The life of a bantam started hard. The other bantams teased her because she was small. Then a soldier called Arthur came and picked her up.After a while Arthur fed her some leftover food from the war.Arthur decided to name the bantam Bertha.Bertha was kind, brave, cheerful and supportive.Arthur also called her a lucky mascot.Bertha gave him courage and lovely laid eggs.Bertha grew stronger as she grew bigger.Arthur named her Bertha because it will remind him about his niece Bertha. At the end Arthur left her beside a hedge by the poppies and said his last good bye.

After a great big war the soldiers finally got to rest.

New Zealand soldiers try their best.

Zooming and chasing at each other.

Anzac cookies celebrate world war.

Come on New Zealand we can win!

Dead soldiers get buried under ground.

A one minute of silent remembering.

Yummy and delicious Anzac biscuits were made.
